Most of the time we shop at Whole Foods, but yesterday we went to Wisconsin

Mommy & Baby Yoga

Mommy & Baby Yoga coming this fall!

Description:

This class focuses on strengthening the spiritual, emotional and physical bond between parent and child. Using interactive, slow-moving postures the class is ideal for mommies and babies 4 weeks to crawling. Class also includes infant massage and various exercises that assist the development of your child's motor skills.

Life is transformed with a newborn baby, often in unexpected ways. Yoga can help you recover not only your figure and your muscle tone, but your strength from within. Yoga breathing and relaxation will nurture you as you nurture your baby. This class will help women regain strength and energy that may have been lost during pregnancy focusing specifically on the abdominal, back and pelvic muscle; releasing tension in the shoulders and neck and the realignment of the spine while bonding with her baby.

For mothers-to-be, yoga is an ideal way to prepare for birth and labor.

Pregnancy is a time of transition, when new sensations and experiences arise. When practiced during pregnancy, yoga will help you maintain your health and well-being. Additionally, practice peace and freedom to the body, heart and mind of both you and your child. Yoga helps build a harmonious bridge of contact between you and your baby. Your child is dependent on you physically but also sensitive to your mental and emotional states. The equilibrium yoga provides can only enhance the mother-child bond.

The class is conducted in a calm, peaceful environment and will help you strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort through asanas (poses) and breath exercises. Yoga can also alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy such as nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, back pain and sciatica.

•promotes fitness and flexibility

•tones the pelvic area

•increases circulation

•works the cardiovascular system

•helps with breath control and breath awareness

•balances body-mind energies

•reduces stress and releases tension

•boosts energy and combats fatigue

•stabilizes emotions

Practicing yoga while you're expecting can help ease aches and annoyances, from swollen ankles to stress. But even if your pregnancy has been relatively comfortable, mastering yoga techniques might pay off on D-day. In a study of moms-to-be in Thailand, those who took yoga classes had a shorter and less painful labor and were more comfortable afterward than women who didn't. fitpregnancy.com/yoga.

Sunday got professional make-up done.
First look straight hair, parted to the left.
All these are NOT the professional pictures.
The hair book will not come out until about October, so I have no idea what they look like.

Second look: texture, hair is wild lol

Sharath Jois Live on the Web

Friday 4/8 & 4/15 at 6:30am EDT - 10:30am GMT/UTC

Sharath is greatly inspired by this upcoming worldwide broadcast. He sees this as an exciting opportunity to share Ashtanga Yoga with people of all walks of life - people who for various reasons are not able to attend workshops or travel to his family’s yoga institute (KPJAYI) in Mysore, India. According to Sharath everyone has the right to practice Ashtanga Yoga and experience the spiritual fulfillment and health benefits that it offers.
